SCRIPTURE MEMORY PROGRAM
The Bible is no ordinary book. It's our primary means of knowing God, growing spiritually, gaining hope, receiving encouragement, equipping us for ministry, and so much more. That's why the Bible commands us not only to read it and study it, but also to memorize portions of it (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3, Psalm 119:11).
As a church, we have started embarking on a church-wide Scripture Memory Program. We will memorize a verse every two weeks for a total of 25 verses per year. This year Topic is: "The Attributes of God". Join us in memorizing God's Word!
Eight values of memorizing the scriptures
- Memorizing the scripture makes meditation possible at times when you can't be reading the Bible and Meditation is pathway to deeper understanding - To meditate to God almighty day and night you need to have some in your head.
- Memorizing the scripture Strengthened ones faith, because faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God and that happens when you hearing the word in your head
- Memorizing the scripture help shapes the way you view the world by conforming your mind to God D point on everything
- Memorizing the scripture help makes God Word more readily accessible in overcoming temptation to sin because God Promises and warnings are the way we Conquer the lies the Decisive lies of the devil
- Memorizing the scripture guide ones mind, making it easier to detect error, and the world is filled with error because the guardian of this world is a liar
- Memorizing the scripture enables one to hit the devil in the face with this force he can not resist to protect ones and family from his assault "What are you hitting me with he is millions of time stronger than you and he hates you and your family, your marriage,family the church and God" how could one move in the world rule by the devil without sword in your hands
- Memorizing the scripture provide the strongest and sweetest word for ministering to others in need
- Memorizing the scripture provide the matrix for fellowship with Jesus Christ because He talks to us in the bible and no where else
